Vineyard Tour and Tasting

from £20.00

A relaxed couple of hours among some of the oldest vines in the country, planted back in 1992. (Curious about the history and the Noah's Ark name? It's all over on ‘behind the bottle’)

The tour is friendly and informal — a wander through the vines (thirty minutes to an hour, as long as you like within reason), taken before or after your tasting. We're a proper working family vineyard rather than a polished visitor centre, so it's rustic and it's outdoors — bring a coat and sensible shoes. We farm with the wildlife in mind: no insecticides, hand-picked, and vegan-friendly.

Back at the shelter you'll taste three still wines and our sparkling, all made from our own grapes. There's no right or wrong way to do this and no quiz at the end — whether you're a card-carrying wine geek or you've never given a tasting a second thought, you're in the right place. Ask us anything; we love talking about it, and the only aim is that you enjoy what's in the glass.

£20 per person, or £30 with a cheeseboard of local cheeses from Brinkworth Dairy down the road (please give us a few days' notice for cheese). Children under 12 free, though we've no child-specific facilities, and you must be 18+ to try the wine. Tours run on selected Sunday afternoons, spring to autumn, in small groups — dates below.

Vouchers make a lovely gift, and the Horse & Groom at Charlton is a good lunch stop before or after.
